This hybrid visual series for Van Warmerdam brings eyewear, character and imagined worlds together. The images feel warm and candid: three friends laughing in sunglasses on a sunny shopping street, a couple in tinted frames at golden hour by the sea, and a woman in clear glasses holding a birthday cake under falling confetti in an optician's store.

Timo Blanksma created the series as hybrid AI imagery, mixing photographic thinking with generative tools to build scenes that would be costly or impossible to stage. The project delivers 22 stills in which the frames always stay the hero.
